About Bright Eyes

Charlotte Burgess

Certified Baby Sleep Consultant

After gaining a degree  in Psychology I knew I wanted to work in a capacity that allowed me to help others. It wasn’t until I started my family and experienced the lows of sleep deprivation that I realised where I wanted my career path to take me. I am lucky enough to have two wonderful little boys who have provided me with an abundance of joy. My youngest Cooper however, had problems sleeping from day one. He suffered with medical isuues which resulted in a very uncomfortable little boy and meant sleep was non-existent. As much as I didn’t want it to it really took a toll on my mental and physical health and I could see how it was affecting Cooper.

I felt so isolated but also felt guilty for wanting and needing change. We decided to work with a sleep coach once we had his medical issues under control, and for our family it was life changing. Cooper became happier, more sociable, he was eating better, his skin calmed down and the most noticeable difference were his eyes became brighter.  It was then I realised this was what I wanted to do, I wanted to help families reach that lightbulb moment of being able to sleep.

My Training and Approach

I am privileged to have undertaken my training with Heidi at The Parent and Baby Coach Sleep School.

My approach is to look at the bigger picture and all potential influencing factors of sleep including digestion, reflux,  feeding, development, behaviour and parental influences.

My approach recognises that there is no one size fits all. I work with parents to help them understand how sleep works, and together select the right approach that make them feel comfortable while still having impact.

My aim is to give parents skills that last a lifetime.
